The concept…

MyStock is the curator of a stock photography library made up of images that have been provided by contributing members from across the globe. All are invited to contribute provided their work adheres to very strict guidelines.

Members are invited to purchase royalty-free licenses to use these images in their various creative projects. Once a license is purchased, the image is then downloaded by the purchaser and a royalty is then added to the contributors account.

What makes us different?

While online stock photography portals are nothing new, we at MyStock feel strongly that there are many features that are unique to our library. Some of these features are listed below:

Open-Contributor Model

MyStock operates on an open-contributor business model which allows anyone to join our community and contribute to our collection provided their work follows very strict technical, legal, and aesthetic guidelines.

Membership is free and there is no cost to contribute. There are no subscription, storage, or any other hidden fees. This open model allows ground-breaking imagery to flow into the collection unhindered and gives MyStock its soul.

Professional Compensation

MyStock believes in compensating professional work and would never allow any image to sell for a buck . MyStock’s price structure is aimed at attracting the photography industry’s brightest stars. Our image cost ranges from around $30-$130 per image depending on the size needed by the end user. This structure combined with competitive royalty payouts will enable Professionals to be compensated for professional work.

Detailed Statistical Reporting

Any piece of data related to your MyStock account will be available for statistical analysis with a large array of data filters and attractive graphical layouts.

Quality over Quantity

MyStock will never sacrifice quality for quantity and in so doing will never boast of the size of our image collection. Stale images will be removed to make room for more inspiring work. The “world’s largest collection” doesn’t mean the highest quality collection.

Targeting Professionals

MyStock is geared toward marketing and media professionals. MyStock administrators are composed of our own in-house staff and follow very strict image approval guidelines. Our image approval system is a 3 tiered process that every image must pass through in order to be added to the collection. Images will be judged not only on their technical properties but also on their marketability, originality, and inspiring qualities. This results in a premium image collection composed of professional work.

Flexible Payment Options

Images can be purchased for the single image license amount or by pre-purchased download credits which can be purchased in volume packages at a discounted rate.

Batch Processing

MyStock’s architecture allows for batch processing of images. This allows the ability to assign titles, keywords, descriptions, model or property releases, and other data to groups of images which greatly increase productivity.

MyStock will also provide stand-alone clients as well as plugins for major photographer asset applications to allow mass uploading and cataloging of images.

Simplicity

MyStock’s design is about simplicity. The images take center stage while navigation and community features are understated.

All features of the site were carefully thought out to provide the most user friendly experience possible.

Precise Search Results

Keywording of images is done by our inspection team thus eliminating ambiguous meanings and inaccuracies. Contributors are able to suggest keywords they would like added to their images when they upload their files.

A large variety of search filters are available to further refine search results.
