lindasj2,
The email message that is automatically generated when an image is rejected because of “low resolution” contains the following text:

Our inspection staff considered the presented image to not contain a high enough resolution for our quality standards and therefore might diminish the MyStock brand. This could be the result of inferior equipment, an unstable camera, or poor camera settings. We considered the image subject matter to be of such that sharpness was important to maintain the integrity of the composition.

Basically, we accept images taken with a certain quality of camera. Those images are almost always at an acceptable resolution. There are a few cameras that we will accept that can give good results occasionally. Your Olympus camera falls into this category. So you might see some of your images accepted and some rejected. Sometimes the subject matter will dictate the resolution requirement and other times the camera settings might be the culprit.

Just because an images is 8MP, for example, doesn’t mean it has an acceptable resolution. 8MP simply states how many pixels the image contains – not necessarily how “sharp” the image is.
An 8MP image taken with a Canon EOS-1Ds Mark III will look different from the same 8MP image taken with an inferior camera.

— Canon, you are welcome for the plug :)
